Basingstoke Community Radio is a registered charity and holds the local DSP license for the town, regulated by Ofcom. We provide this Public File notice to give you an insight in to Basingstoke’s number one station. The station broadcasts 24hrs a day, 7 days a week from their professional studios situated in The Clock Tower, Chineham Shopping Centre.
OUR MUSIC. We play music from the past 7 decades, selected by our local presenters and enjoyed by you the community.
PROGRAMMING. 8am till 6pm – We play a range of songs from our core playlist, along with live presenter interaction, features, interviews and local information. 6pm till 10pm – We hand over our evening programming to specialist music, from Rock, to punk and everything in-between. NEWS, WEATHER AND TRAVEL. Basingstoke Community Radio broadcasts national news headlines and weather updates hourly every day on the hour from Radio News Hub. In the case of significant breaking national or local stories, we relay news direct from our news provider, Radio News Hub. National news articles on our website are syndicated from leading UK sources. These remain copyright of their respective content authors. We provide LIVE traffic and travel updates for Basingstoke during Drive time, weekdays from 16:00 to 18:00. We rely on third-party information to compile these updates and endeavour to verify this before broadcast, however we are not responsible for any inaccuracies that may arise in the contents of these updates.
